Home upgrades, installations & new builds

PoorBoy Electrical and Lighting brings the same level of professionalism and quality work that business owners have come to expect to local homeowners. Owner Erik Poor recently finished an electrical upgrade and comprehensive rewire on a vintage home located in the Pismo Heights neighborhood of Pismo Beach. A wiring diagram was drawn up with the location of every light, power outlet and TV connection throughout the house, resulting in a well- planned electrical design. Working directly with the homeowners allowed PoorBoy Electric and Lighting to get creative and install specialty lighting.

  • A ditch was dug to replace the electrical work underground leading to the detached garage
  • The old exterior electrical panel was replacing with a modern 200 amp panel to accommodate the homeowner’s power needs
  • A modern light fixture was installed in the bathroom with a motion sensor connected, turning it on when the homeowners enter the bathroom and turning off automatically a few seconds after leaving
  • Feature lighting and recessed lighting was installed in the living room along with a modern industrial style ceiling fan
  • A stunning vintage style fixture was hung in the dining room and track lighting was installed in the bedroom
  • The kitchen has a variety of light sources such as under cabinet task lighting and decorative lighting in the form of mid-century pendant lights
  • Lights were placed on digital dimmer controls to adjust for the proper ambiance
